What Causes Antepartum Hemorrhage On The Placenta?

Hi, im 14 weeks pregnant, with my 3rd child and have an ante-partum haemorrhage on my placenta. Also my womb can be felt just below my belly button, which im told is at the height of an 18 week pregancy. But my dates are correct. I have spot bled for the past 2 weeks and am told to rest. Im very scared of losing the baby is there any advise you could give me?

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Bleeding at 14 weeks pregnancy can be due to low lying placenta (placenta previa), bleeding in the placental membranes (subchorionic hemorrhage) or idiopathic ( no cause found).
The diagnosis can be made by ultrasound.
I will suggest you to get an ultrasound done and get further treatment according to the diagnosis.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
