What Causes Anal Itching?

Hello, I m 39 years old 5 -9 and 190 lbs. I eat a good diet and exercise. Years ago if I used baby wipes I would get anal itching and it seems like that condition has returned. I started using hydrocortisone 10 for the itching which has helped but when I took a pic to see what my skin looked like I noticed a small polyp. I have no bleeding or pain, and I haven t noticed any change in my stools. I m going to see my Dr but this has me really concerned. I have a pic but it will not let me add it.

Hello,

Anal itching may be due to pruritis ano or polyps or allergy to soaps or deodorants or worm infestation or hemorrhoids.

Avoid wearing of tight clothing, keep always dry.

Get it done local examination and proctoscopy. stool examination is done.

If symptoms not improved please consult your physician/dermatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
