What Causes Anal Itching And Loose Motions?
Hi Doctor. I am a 52 year old woman in menopause. I have an itchy rectum, loose stool and a feeling of rectal seepage a lot of the time. I have tried a hemorrhoidal cream and it does seem to help with the itching. I have an appointment for a routine colonoscopy in a few weeks. I have not been to a doctor for this problem yet. It has been going on for quite a few months. I do not see any bleeding but I am definately causing more discomfort when i scratch the area.

I think you may need to do a stool test for parasites and bacteria. Parasites may be a reason for itching and hemorrhoids cream doesn't help with itching.
