What Causes An Outbreak Of Pimples While On Novelon?

I had endometriosis cyst measures 6 cm. Removed that and now having Novelon tablet. In the first course, my face was clear. After that am suffering from pimple. Doctor advised to follow that tablet for 6 month. Is that pimple appearance normal in my case?

Novelon tablet contains Desogestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol as active ingredients.
The possible side-effects that might occur while taking Novelon include: Change in menstrual flow, Abdominal cramps, Nausea, Dizziness, Acne (pimples) and Edema.
Some of the side effects could appear in the initial stages of treatment as these are hormonal preparations and require sometime for body to get adjusted.
Consult your doctor if you observe any of the above side-effects, especially if they do not go away or become bothersome.
