What Causes An Itchy White Spot On The Breast?

I am a 69 y.o. woman. I noticed one of my breasts was itching and when I looked at it there was a white spot on my nipple. It looked liked milk from a duct. Anyway I squeezed it and a creamy white fluid came out. It is still itchy and it looks like some other ducts are raised. What should I do if anything.?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Postmenopausal breast discharge with itching may be due to mastitis or prolactinoma with milky discharge or it may psoriasis or Paget's disease etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Please get it done a mammogram, serum prolactin levels and MRI brain.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
