What Causes An Indentation Like A Line On Both Thighs?

I have a line going across both my thighs. It looks as if a belt has been tightened around the thigh area, removed and the indentation of the belt remains. There is no pain associated with this line, but I am experiencing difficulty in getting up when I am seated for extended periods of time.
