What Causes An Eye Pulled Muscle With Flashing And Pulling?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...hi, I have been experiencing what feels like I ve pulled a muscle on the outer side of my left eye. When it occurs, I get flashes in the eye. It s like a quick pull and occurs at random times - even when just waking up. Any thoughts on what this could be? I m 50 years old, have a minor nearsighted correction and am on blood pressure meds (which has been stable for years on the meds)m. Thank you!

there is nothing like muscle pull in eye. it can be spasm of muscle there can be particular mnerve iritation, and spasm of lateral rectus left side. BPshould be checked. fundus to exclude hypertensive retinopathy. refraction should be done, and if corection need tobe reviewed it should be done. cataract and glaucoma should be ruled out.
