What Causes Agitation While On Phentermine?

Hello. I have been taking Phentermine 37.5, 1 per day, since September 1st. I have been feeling very agitated and ill, which is unlike me, for a few weeks. I stopped taking the medicine about 5 days ago and thought maybe it was better, but today I feel the same agitation. Could this medicine be what is causing me to have those feelings and what can I do to make them go away? Please let me know. I am 63 in case you need to know my age. Thanks.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The half life of a medication is the time it takes for the amount of drug in the body to decrease by half. It can take 3 to 5 half lives for a drug to be mostly eliminated.

The half life of phentermine is 7 to 20 hours, this means that it would take approximately 21 to 100 hours (1 to 4 days) ,for this medication to be mostly eliminated.

A very small amount may still be in your system but it should be steadily declining.
If the symptoms continue, then it is not likely related.

I hope this helps
