Hi. I have a dehydrated acne prone skin. My skincare specialist tells me to stay away from using hyloronic acid products and stick to vitamin C topical as a moisturizer and salysylic acid lotion to control breakouts! My skin doesn t look or feel hydrated by using just the Vt. C! Does HA really contribute to breakouts? Thanks
In some cases, Hyaluronic Acid based cream can cause acne as it helps in reducing dryness of skin by producing more oil that can in-turn cause acne. As you are already acne prone that's why you are asked to avoid using Hyaluronic Acid based creams.
For hydrating your skin you can use aloe vera gel over the face and gently massage. Also drink plenty of water. You can also apply Clindamycin gel over the pimples. Rub ice over the pimples to reduce inflammation.
Along with it take nutritious meals and eat more green vegetables and fruits. Avoid too much oily foods.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
