I am not sure if I have my acid reflex kicking up for the stomach bug that s going around. I was around 2 of my friends kids who just got over the stomach flu and I had 3 chimie chungias w taco sause yesterday at a friends for lunch and ever since I have had sour burps and diahrea. Can u help me out
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. If there is a stomach bug is going around then the chances of stomach flu are there but your have also a history of eating at friends for lunch. Hence the differentiation is possible by the stool and blood tests. Whether this is viral or bacterial the treatment in general is the same except that in bacterial intestinal infection we have to give you an antibiotic active against intestinal infection. Rest of the treatment is same. Maintenance of water and electrolyte balance. Probiotics and activated charcoal tablets. Yogurt, banana, soft bland diet. PPI like Omeprazole and Domperidone if there is acidity and nausea or vomiting.
