General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Very likely the doctor diagnosed her with central serous retinopathy. This consists of water building beneath the retina and distorting the vision.
Generally, it does fade in a couple of months and the vision comes back to the norm. The doctor will need to regularly examine her in the next few weeks to make sure she is improving.
If she is not improving then laser treatment or photodynamic therapy may be indicated.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
