Pediatrician 's  Response
hi , I must ask first if this strep c was found in the blood culture or a throught culture, because septicemia caused by strep c can cause dehydration and decrease blood flow to kidneys which decreases urination , another serious cause is bilateral renal artery thrombosis due to septicemia, it's less common but very worrisome, I recommend a renal function test , serum electrolytes and admission to the hospital.
I hope this helps
