Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Absence Of Fetal Heartbeat At 10th Week Of Pregnancy?
I am 11 week pregnant, I have very few signs or symptoms other than being tired. I had an early ultrasounds at weeks and was able to see the heart beat and confirm due date. At 10 weeks we could not find the heart beat. Should I be concerned? I am getting ready to tell friends and family about the pregnancy and worry about not having reassurance.
I have gone through your question and I understand your concern. If the ultrasound does not show fetal cardiac activity at 10 weeks of pregnancy then it is definitely an abnormal finding as the cardiac activity should be appreciated by this time. I would recommend you consult your local obstetrician as soon as possible for detailed clinical evaluation and further management accordingly.
I hope this answers your question. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing you good health.
