Hello and welcome to HCM, Abnormal smell is indicative of bacterial infection. Bacterial infection can lead to bad odor and smelly discharge. A swab test will detect the causative agent for the infection of the genital tract. Have you got swab test done? In addition, lodging of foreign body in the genital tract can also cause bad odorous discharge. Thus, an examination of the genital tract followed by swab test is required. A culture of swab and drug sensitivity will isolate the micro-organism causing the infection and the most appropriate antibiotic effective against it.
