What Causes Abnormal Menstrual Bleeding Post Intake Of Norlut Tablets?

Hi, I need to ask one question I took norlut n from 19 to 24th, 6 days to delay my cycle as I have to go for a vacation... my actual date was 25, but I was feeling like down and I don t want to take a chance so I started taking from 19th one dose per day... it was working fine as soon as I stopped talking it on 24 I am down on 28 after 2,3 days but the main concern is flow its almost half as compare to normal cycle and that too is not regular first 2 days was fine but 3 day it was nothing... I was wondering if everything is ok...??? Please help me out....!!

Hi,

Norlut is a hormonal preparation. If you wanted to delay your period, you should have taken it till you wanted to detain it. Bleeding occurred after withdrawal, as it usually does. The intake of the pills in terminal week of your cycle has caused a hormonal imbalance. It might have disturbed possible pregnancy, that's why irregular bleeding. It may stop within 8-10 days, if it does not you need to consult a doctor.
