What Causes Abdominal Spasms And Loss Of Appetite While Recovering From Sepsis?

My father was in the hospital with sepsis and discharged 1 1/2 wks ago. To he went to the er and is experiencing stomach spasms and loss of appetite. He is diabetic also. His sepsis was from a twisted intestine which unknotted by itself. The er discharged him after catscan and lab work. Is there anything I can do for comfort for the pain or and food suggestions.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern for your father looking to the history given here it is best him to be in bed till everything gets all right, he may be given very light diet or what ever suggested by his treating physician because clinical examination would be necessary to suggest the diet, still liquid diet would be fine for him, hope this information helps, take care.
I find this answer helpful
