What Causes Abdominal Pain While On Amoxicillin?
Hi. My son has a wisdom tooth extraction on Monday - seemingly up eventful. He was placed on amoxicillin 500mg q8h and olfen 50mg q4-6hr after meals. He began complaining of abdominal discomfort after the 4pm dose on Wednesday. He is now having more serious abdominal pains in the epigastric region, and his abdominal muscles feel tense. Stools and urine are normal. Bp 99/57 pulse 73. Had Panadol tabs x 2 about 40 min ago. Experiencing relief when lying on his abdomen. Any suggestions?

Because of intestinal flora disturbances
Self limiting condition, for symptomatic relief this can be treated with
lyophilized Lacto Bacillus sachets three times in day
for abdominal pain "Dicyclomine would be best" orally
