What Causes Abdominal Pain Upon Standing From Sitting Position?

I ve noticed lately that in the afternoon, after having sat in the recliner for a while with my husband, when I go to stand up there in a sharp pain in my lower left abdomen area, near my hip and front side. I never have a nagging pain throughout the day; like I said, it only really hurts when I stand up after having sat for a bit.

HI.
This type of pain is typical in a sense that it increases only when you stand up from a sitting position.
This indicates inflammation of the ilio-psoas muscle. You need to undergo CT scan to confirm about the likely problem with the ilio-psoas muscles.
Take a medical treatment if there is no abscess or so. If there is an abscess, you have to to get it operated.
