What Causes Abdominal Pain, Sweating And Bloating Post Withdrawal From Methamphetamine?
I used meth for about a year and have been off for about 6 weeks now. My way of doing thw drug was by eating it. I did this on a daily bases. Now that i am clean, everytime I eat, I am having abdominal pain. I feel miserable for a few hours. I get sweety, Feel bloated and my stomach looks like im 6 months pregnant. Is this normal?
It is good to know that you have withdrawn from Methamphetamine. It is better to detox under a GP or a detox center. However, you are having withdrawal symptoms since you have stopped taking amphetamines.
It could be paralytic ileus (amphetamine-induced), so you are suggested to get physically examined, get an x-ray done to get it ruled out. It can be a medical emergency get treated.
If it is not you can take antacids & PPI's, Pantoprazole for relieve. Spasmol (Spasmoproxyvon). Take medicines after being examined by a GP.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
