What Causes Abdominal Pain And Passing Dark Stool While On Aderall?

My sister is under a great deal of stress and takes Aderall each day. She goes 100mph running a business. This weekend she experienced severe abdominal cramps on her right side, under the rib cage in the front. She also drinks too much wine. Her feces was black.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Upper abdominal pain with dark stools can suggest a peptic ulcer with bleeding base. This is likely here especially because she is one with a great deal of stress and drinks alcohol frequently- both puts her at high risk for peptic ulcer.

Kindly consult your doctor for evaluation and treatment accordingly. Meanwhile, avoid spicy/fried items and include enough fruits and vegetable in diet a. Control stress and alcohol intake.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
