What Causes Abdominal Pain And Nausea?

Over the past 25 years i have had 6 ventrial hernia repairs with one also being a gastric volvulus... Off and on over the past 6 months i have been experiencing close to the same symptoms as with the repair with the volvulus... Last night after i ate dinner, i had extreme abdominal pain and tenderness slightly above the ambilicus, nausea was more intense, no vomiting. This happens mostly after i eat... occassionaly when i dont eat ill have slight pain on my right side abdominal area like where the mesh is..... Should i have went to the ER last night? Could it possibly be another gastric volvulus with mesh breakdown?

Hi,

Please see that it may be volvulus. You should visit an emergency soon and undergo a CT abdomen. Please do not ignore it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
