Hi,
Abdominal pain may be seen with
gastritis, bacterial, or viral infection most commonly. Gastritis is seen when there is increased acid production which can cause inflammation or irritation of the gastric lining. Other irritants and some types of foods can also cause gastritis or gastric irritation.
One may also develop bacterial or viral infection which can cause the following symptoms
- diarrhea
- stomach pain
- green or discolored stool
- weakness
- dehydration
- fever
Most people find the following things useful for most gastric infections.
- Taking a
BRAT diet of bread, rice, applesauce, and toast
- Drinking lots of water
- Drinking oral rehydration solution
- Sleeping and resting well
- Avoiding oily and spicy foods
In case the symptoms persist or if one notices blood in the stool, getting a check up by a doctor would be a good idea.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
