What Causes Abdominal Pain Along With Nausea And Chills?

Hi, I have talked to my regular Dr. and a surgeon about getting my gallbladder out. Hopefully after Dec. 7 but the past 4 days the whole stomach area is in pain. I was given ciproflaxin for 7 days starting today, and I take ranitidine. I have tried pepto bismal, etc. to no avail. I do have gastritis but the issue with my gallbladder is making me think that is my problem. Nausea, dry heaves, sweating and chills have been occuring lately. The pain in my stomach area is so painful I don t know if I can wait for surgery. What to do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there I have read through your question and would like to tell you that all your symptoms are related to your gallbladder. Nausea, pain, chills and hives all are symptoms of cholecystitis and will subside once you undergo gallbladder removal. For now you can take a proton pump inhibitor like omeprazole and painkiller like cyclopam to alleviate the symptoms of nausea and pain. If your symptom become more severe you can consult your surgeon for preponing the surgery. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
