What Causes Abdominal Pain After A Colonoscopy?

I had a colonoscopy 3days ago and I now have some pain in my abdomen. It feels like burning with a dull pain that is growing progressively worse. I have had 5 colonoscopies and never felt this post the procedure. Is this normal? I have not seen blood in my stools and had a normal bowel movement.

Hi,

Just wait for few days like 4 more days. If it doesn’t go away, consult a doctor as this doesn’t seem normal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
