What Causes Abdominal Distention And Acid Reflux?

2.5 years ago my stomach started feeling like it was stuffed with an inflated balloon. I was told I have heartburn. I was given medication but it didn t help. Doc then did colonoscopy, endoscopy, vaginal ultrasound and some other test that made me feel like I was peeing my pants. Was told all is good except I might have slight case of diverticulitis. In last year I have started feeling strong aches in my entire body. Especially leg, feet and back arm pain and no relief in stomach. I have also had light headless/dizziness at night if I flip body too quickly. I am tired of feeling so bad after a lifetime of relative health. Any thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It is understandable to be frustrated about the symptoms that you are experiencing.

You may want to consider seeing a rheumatologist or neurologist for assessment. He or she would be able to assess your aches and pain as well as your dizziness.

I hope this helps.
