What Causes Abdominal Discomfort And Worms In Stool?

hey. my friend and i are in kenia working here as volunteers. we have been here for 4 months now and since we got here here stomach has been weird, but almost everyones stomachs are a bit weird out here so that has not been a massive problem. today she found a 5cm long and 0.5cm wide grey worm looking object (with a dark end at the top) in her stools. Is that a worm? It wasnt moving or anything. Should she go see a doctor?
