What Causes Abdominal Cramps, Bloating And Nausea Post Ruptured Appendix Surgery?

I have emergency surgery about seven weeks ago for a ruptured appendix, spending five days in the hospital, three weeks off work...I have recently, off and on within the last two weeks, been experienceing stomach cramping, opverall pain, bloating, and some nausea, especially within a half hour or eating of drinking...could this be related? Could I have developed a sensitivity to foods all of a sudden, or should I be concerned about something else...it almost feels similar to some of the initial cramping I felt the first day I went into the ER, to be sent home, misdiagnosed, with a UTI....

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that due to rupture of appendix there might be having developing peritonitis.
Due to infection in peritoneum it might give rise some gasto-intestinal symptoms like bloating, nausea, cramping due to any thing taken by mouth which increases irritation and intestinal movement.
Gradually all symptoms will be alright.
Take light diet.
Take little amount of food but frequently.
Ok and take care.
