What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Loose Stools?

I experienced last night from 2:30am to about 5:30 what felt like menstral cramps but I'm not on my period. I did get sick with loose stool. i felt good all day long but just felt a quick electric Sharp pain that came and went in a second. What could be wrong? I am suppose to get my menstral cycle next week. Thank you for your help!

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that you have a mild case of gastroenteritis which is inflammation/infection of the gastrointestinal tract.

It can cause all or some of the following : abdominal cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting.

The main treatment would be the use of fluids to replace the fluid lost.

The use of probiotics would also be helpful to speed up recovery.
