Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Symptoms what you are experiencing are pre-menstrual. Sometimes, such symptoms may precede your periods. Periods are considered as normal if it appears +/- 5 days from the due date. If the symptoms do not subside after the bleeding occurs or if there are additional symptoms like passage of clots or scanty/heavy flow, you need to take an ultrasound scan done and consult Obstetrician with the report for clinical assessment and appropriate management.

Hope the information provided helps. All the best.

Regards,

Dr. Ashakiran. S
