What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Soreness After Taking Prevacid?
I was diagnosed with hpylori 8/1/2015 through scope. I was prescribed a prevpac which I completed. I have been taking prevacid daily since. I have not been able to get off the prevacid. The longest have been five days. After the five days I start to experience bloating and soreness to my lower abdomen.

Understanding your concern . As per your query you have abdominal bloating and soreness after taking Prevacid . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like gastroesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome , gas pains , gastroenteritis , giardiasis , constipation , lactose intolerance , ulcerative colitis or inflammatory bowel disease . The symptoms can also occur due to side effects of certain medicine as in your case . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may order CT scan , ultrasound , stool test and endoscopy. Doctor may prescribe omeprazole , laxative , antibiotics like ornidazole and albendazole. Avoid intake of large meals at a time and take small and frequent meals. Drink warm water throughout the day . For now eat light , avoid non spicy and heavy food , drink plenty of water and eat fibrous diet . The symptoms can also occur due to UTI . Also apply warm compresses on abdomen .
