What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Distension Along With Constant Nausea?

My wife developed the following symptoms beginning January 10th. Three physicians have ordered numerous tests and still have no definitive diagnosis. (Not necessarily in order) Enlarged left under arm lymph node Liver function lab results (times 3) Progressively worse Increased abdominal swelling & distension (3 increase in abdominal circumference) Increasing fatigue (Now can only function for 4 hours before needing to rest/sleep). Increasing jaundice in eyes and skin Loss of appetite Almost constant Nausea & Vomiting Persistent diarrhea Any direction would help, she has endured 5 blood tests with various abnormal results, an abdominal ultrasound, and 3 physician reviews. Nothing conclusive. Their recommendations - more tests - some scheduled for more than a 15 days from now.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have abdominal bloating and distension along with constant nausea which seems to be either infection or inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. I would suggest you to proton pump inhibitors and antacids such as Pantprazole along with domperidone. You should take antispasmodics as well. You should take oral rehydration solution for maintaining the hydration and electrolyte balance of the body. Drink warm water throughout the day .You should consult gastroenterologist once and get complete blood investigations done. Start treatment after proper diagnosis. Take plain and soft food and avoid hot, sharp and spicy food substances.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
