Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of abdominal bloating and cramping post colonoscopy which seems to be either infection or inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. The symptoms you mention in query are normal after colonoscopy, but if it persist for longer period then it will be a couse of concern, because it can be infection due to contaminated equipment . You should consult gastroenterologist once and get complete blood investigations done. Start treatment after proper diagnosis. I would suggest you to proton pump inhibitors and antacids such as Pantoprazole along with domperidone. You should take antispasmodics as well. Take plain and soft food and avoid hot, sharp and spicy food substances. You should take oral rehydration solution for maintaining the hydration and electrolyte balance of the body. Avoid intake of large foods and try to prefer small and frequent meals.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
