General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Abdominal bloating is due to altered gut flora mechanics, stomach upset, digestive enzyme disturbance or side effects of certain antibiotics administered in the hospital to treat dengue.

Proper dietary precautions (to avoid colored foods) with proton pump inhibitor and supportive therapy will take care of the abdominal discomfort.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
