What Causes Abdominal Bloating After Falling?

Hello. I am quite confident that i have broken at least one and perhaps multiple just under my right breast. ( i am a male). I fell several, hours ago while walkng the dog. I know there isnt much you can do other than manage the pain.... which isnt happening, so i have not gone to the ER. I am breathing ok i think, other than the i creased pain, but i have noticed over the last 30 minutes that i am feeling a bit bloated and extended. I am already overweight. Should i be concerned? Or safe to stick out the night?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

A rib fracture is unlikely. Because you will feel extreme pain in case of a rib fracture.

As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a physician and take an X-ray chest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
