What Causes A Yellowish Color On The Upper Palate?

I look at the back of my mouth. The hard part is a yellowish colour, the soft spot on the sides are purple and my tonsils and the thing that hang down are very red and veiny. . It's not sore or hurts just doesn't look normal. Should I go and see a doctor ?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain yellowish appearrence of palate along with red veiny throat and uvula can be due to inflammation in throat and can be due to throat infection, post nasal drip,acid reflux while can also be due to burning of throat with some hot foods..
As there is no pain you need not to worry as the inflammation will subside soon..
As of now you can do warm saline gargles..
You can take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Avoid very hot and spicy foods..
You can also do steam inhalations.
Gargle with antiseptic mouthwash and maintain a good oral hygiene..
In case of no resolution consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
