What Causes A Warm Sensation On The Cheeks Causing Pink Discolouration?

Hi, I am Kristina. I am not sure what happened but the last three days my cheeks start to be warm and flushed. This has never happened before unless I have been exercising or out in the hot summer. My cheeks are now flushed pink up to below my eyebrows and feel warm.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history you are having Rosacea, my treatment advice is -

1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with SPF more than 30.
2. Apply a Clindamycin gel like Glocin twice daily on it.
3. Other treatment options are oral Doxycycline and Minocycline taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
