What Causes A Warm Sensation In The Vaginal Area?

I do not have sex, so I know I don t have any sexual diseases. I ve been feeling a warm sensation on the outside of my vagina for the past few days. It doesn t last but seconds and I might not feel the warmth for hours later. But today s I have felt it more often. Do you know what could be causing this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Warm sensation what you are feeling in the vaginal region could be commonly caused due to hormonal variations taking place in the body.

Sometimes, preceding infection, you might have such symptoms. Kindly keep the genital region under good hygiene. Wear loose fitting cotton undergarments. Improve your fluid intake.

Gradually the symptoms should subside on its own by taking such supportive measures.

If the symptoms become bothersome and get associated with any other symptoms, kindly consult Obstetrician for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
