What Causes A Tingling Sensation In The Ear And Face At Night?

Hello, I have a crawling sensation in my ear. Predominantly my left ear and sometimes my right. It occurs at night when I am laying down and the sensation frequently extends to the area on my face, around the ear. I am suffering from a head cold. Could that have something to do with it? It feels like I have small bugs that leave my ear each night!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your tingling sensations in left ear radiating occasionally to the right with similar sensations on the face following a previous head cold I am suggesting that you have developed a condition called otitis interna following possibly by viral infection(flu)
In view of this please see an ENT specialist for further clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription
I hope this helps Regards
