What Causes A Tender Area On The Scalp Along With Headache?

I ve noticed a tender area on my scalp. It s superior to my ear in the parietal region. It seems to cause headaches at times but other times, I feel fine. I noticed this area about a week ago and today (not currently now) was day three of a headache. My doctor advised me to put ice on the area to determine if it was nerve involvement and the ice did nothing. I m also in my third trimester so I know testing may be limited at this point.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a migraine.

I recommend using Ibuprofen for relief.
