What Causes A Swollen Lump On The Thigh?

My left leg ,upper inner thigh .I have reddness on the skin with some swelling but I m more concerned about the lump i feel when I press down in that area. I don t know if I hit my thigh in that area or if there is something else going on . There is some pain when walking but not sitting.

I understand your concern.

It could be great if you could send a photo of the redness on the skin on your upper inner thigh.

From what you are prescribing, it could be infected hair follicle, however, other causes should be ruled out too.

I advise to get a physical examination by your doctor as you might need prescription antibiotics.

Meanwhile, can take analgesic orally until you see your doctor. Apply cold compresses locally.
