What Causes A Sudden State Of Trance During Sports Activity?
My 10 year old daughter is having episodes where she is sort of going into some sort of trance for a few seconds and then snapping out of it. For example she was playing basketball and when the two teams rebounded and went toward the other end she stayed behind staring at the floor, but then snapped out of it. This happened twice during the game.

As per symptoms given by you she is suffering from absence seizure . Take her to a neurologist or peditrician as she needs EEG and MRI brain . She needs drug as Ethosuximide .
