What Causes A Small Pea Size Painful Lump On Knee Cap?

Ok, so I have these thighs on my knee. They are pea sized ball usually on top,of the knee cap and I can move them around and feel them. I have some pain in areas when I move/push them in a certain spot. This is on my righ knee and yesterday I went to urgent care and had an X-ray and it showed nothing just that I have oshmanshoter (I probably spelled that wrong) but the doctor didn t know what they were

It could be small lipoma Or cystic lesion in that area. Kindly attach the X-ray report, so that I can check it to find out underlying cause. It seems to be benign lesion superficially over knee area.
