It can also be due to obliteration or injury to a sweat gland which can be due to excessive sun exposure leading to inflammation... You should always apply lip balm with SPF 15 before going out.. It can also be as a result of allergy to some lip product or infection caused by sharing lip cosmetics with an infected person..
