What Causes A Rise In Blood Sugar Levels When On Spironolanctone And Amlopres?
my doctor gave me spironolanctone 25mg and amlopres 5mg for controlling my blood pressure. but after starting treatment i exprience increasing in FBS level from 97 to 165. also when i test my FBS by homecare tests found that after 2 hours of eating foods my FBS level also higher than 200. i am fat (150 kg) without any diabet till now. can this change be part of side effects of drugs?

If the fasting blood sugar is high so you need to get done the post meal sugar level and random too, if this is high too then this could be diabetes and this is not because of the anti-hypertensive medicines, in my opinion better to see the physician and blood sugar need to be testes with photometric method with plasma or serum, hope this information helps, take care.
