I had Lyme disease last summer and I suspect i have it again. For the last 3 days I ve had a large red raised patch of skin on my back side that gets larger every day. It doesn t have the bullseye, it s just redish. I m thinking of heading to the Drs today. Any advice? WC in CT

Doxycycline (100 mg twice per day), amoxicillin (500 mg 3 times per day), or cefuroxime axetil (500 mg twice per day) for 14 days (range, 10–21 days for doxycycline and 14–21 days for amoxicillin or cefuroxime axetil) is recommended for the treatment.
