What Causes A Red Patch On Penis?

I have a red patch on my penis that is not painful and does not itch. I had a doctor tell me it was fungal and prescribed a cream. it has not gone away but tends to fade but returns after a hot shower then fades again but does not go away? Any ideas as to what this is?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thanks for your query.

I shall make an effort to provide you with good professional recommendations specific to your questions.
Often a man becomes concerned if a small spot or bump appears on his penis. There are many causes of a small red spot, Excess pressure, tension or overuse and injury.
As you have mentioned that its been diagnosed as yeast infection and not mention the duration of treatment, I assume that the full coarse is not completed. So I advice you to wait till that, you should be fine by that time.
Yet again, I duly appreciate your query to me, I do hope that have found something useful to help you and I shall be glad to answer any further apprehensions.

Sincerely,
I find this answer helpful
