What Causes A Red Bump Under The Right Eye?

I developed a red bump about two weeks ago under my right eye. I knew it wasn t a pimple and using cortisone or Neosporin didn t help. Then it formed into more of a blood blister and I developed groups of bumps by my right temple and right upper lip and chin. All have cleared but the eye and right temple. I ve used RX bacterial no help.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your description it could be something called “style” which is nothing but a inflammatory swelling under the eyelid due to blockade of sweat glands. Since conservative measures doesn’t shown good results, it is better to drain the swelling. Consult an ophthalmologist and get evaluated. No need to worry as it can be drained easily under local anesthesia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
