What Causes A Pulsating Feeling Under The Left Rib Cage?

I have been feeling a rushing feeling under by left rib cage near the bottom of my rib cage. It feels to me like blood rushing through something. I m wondering if it could be a problem with my heart, like a blockage or something with blood flow having a hard time getting through. I have no other heart related symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath and a year ago I had a complete heart work up (due to chest pains I was having) and got a complete clean bill of health on my heart. It is just a very consistent feeling and I have been feeling it all day long for about 4 days now.

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms which you have mentioned in your question are all suggestive of muscle spasm, at times it can be mild but can get very severe.

You don't need to worry about it. I am writing a medicine which you need to take for 3 days twice in a day (Zerodol MR ).

Still, I suggest you go for a USG abdomen and pelvis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
