What Causes A Pea Sized Lump Below The Eye Brow?

Hi, my little boy has a blue pea sized movable lump above his left eye just below his eye brow. He has vitiligo on various places on his body and the eye sockets are a white/pale blue colour due to this. The lump also has a blue veiny colour to it. Gp says it is not a cyst and at first thought maybe blue nevus but then agreed it is nothing like that when looking at pictures of one, so has referred my son to a consultant as an urgent referral (within 2 weeks), what could it be??

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pea sized lump below the eye brow . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like HEMATOMA formation , Chalazion or Stye . The lump is due to accumulation of the inflammatory cells, overgrown fibrous tissue and at times the Hematoma gets encapsulated and there is formation of a lump . You need not to worry as it will resolve but can take a long time, although bruising will reduce soon but the knot take time to resolve. You can do alternate hot and cold packs over the knot and bruising. Apply Thrombophob gel over the knot and bruised area but keep away from eye and apply only after patch test. Visit dermatologist if condition is not getting better .
