What Causes A Painful Yellowish White Bump Inside Mouth?

I don t know how long I ve had this but it hurts really bad and I looked at it and it looks as if it s white and yellow but won t pop and it s kind of plump around the white yellow stuff. I was brushining my teeth and accidentally went over it and it hurt so bad. Any ideas ?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms if it is a lump over the gums then it can be a Dental Abscess caused due to a deeply decayed tooth or a gum abscess [gingival abscess/periodontal abscess] caused due to deep infection in gums while if it is over the cheek mucosa it can be an Apthous ulcer..
Nothing to worry consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and treatment can be planned accordingly..
For dental abscess root canal treatment or extraction of tooth followed by antibiotics and painkillers will help..
For gum abscess Scaling and curettage followed by antibiotics, painkillers and topical gum pint application will relieve..

While for canker sore taking multivitamin, application of Lignocaine gel and warm saline gargles will relieve..
As of now you can apply a numbing gel containing Lignocaine over the bump for relief from pain..
Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen can also be taken..
